@RajashreeRaja Unfortunately, oil paint mediums, like this linseed oil, can not be mixed with gouache because the oil content in them will break apart the paint and make it unusable. If you want to explore different mediums to mix with gouache, check out watercolor mediums! All watercolor mediums should be compatible with gouache and can give you a wide array of different effects. Otherwise, adding a little water to your gouache will give you a similar thinning effect that this linseed oil gives to oil paint. They will also be important if you want to thin or change the consistency of your paints in any way. We recommend using linseed oil and thinners with this set, as they will help you follow the 'fat over lean' rule in oil painting.

Winsor & Newton's Artists' Matt Varnish typically takes about 1-2 hours to become touch dry. However, it is recommended to allow it to dry completely for about 24 hours to ensure optimal protection and finish!

You make some interesting points! Titanium White does have its specific uses, especially for those bright highlights. The debate about yellowing over time is definitely valid, and super refined linseed oil does help minimize that. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 😊

@@JerrysartaramaArtSupply Yeah, I use the linseed oil for first composition coats to dry faster. They are thinned out anyway. I mix my own pigments with only walnut oil and no other extenders or fillers. Paint is dry on top in about 5 days, depending on the color. I like the walnut because I like to come back in and paint wet into wet the next day. Ive used safflower medium but most every time I use a medium in already prepared paint, I'm cutting it with spirits quite a bit.I seldom use medium, except bringing stiff paint back to life, left on the palette or doing a transparent wash. Just started using your store. I hope to do more future business with you. Thank You

To make plaster, you typically mix plaster of Paris powder with water. Here's a general procedure: Measure the desired amount of plaster of Paris powder. Gradually add the powder to clean water in a mixing container while stirring continuously. Continue mixing until the plaster is fully dispersed and forms a smooth, creamy consistency. Allow the mixture to rest for a few minutes to allow any air bubbles to rise to the surface. Pour or apply the plaster mixture into your desired mold or surface. Allow the plaster to set and cure according to the manufacturer's instructions before handling or painting. Always follow safety guidelines and the manufacturer's instructions when working with plaster.
